The Plumbing (PHE) and Firefighting Design Course provides thorough, practical training in designing modern building sanitary systems, potable water distribution networks, hydro-pneumatic pumping, storm water harvesting, and active NFPA-compliant fire suppression systems.
Students learn design calculations using Hunter's Curve loading units, Hazen-Williams head loss formula, Manning’s drainage equation, NFPA 13 sprinkler hazard density calculation, fire pump head sizing, and comprehensive 2D CAD drafting of floor plans, risers, and plant room schematics.
Water demand, sump/tank sizing, hydro-pneumatics & pipe sizing.
Single stack, two-pipe, Manning's slope, STP & storm drainage.
Fire hydrants, automatic sprinklers, FACP alarms & pumps.
Multi-story isometric risers, CAD layouts & itemized cost BOQ.
